Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are only required for Stretch-MobilityC™Therapy sessions. We welcome, with open arms, walk-ins for whole body Cryotherapy and Compression Therapy services. If you would like to schedule an appointment for a Stretch/Mobility session search for available appointments by clicking here, download our App here or give us a call during business hours at 346.261.0853.

What do I wear for a Stretch-Mobility™ session?

Wear something comfortable that allows for movement and does not restrict your range of motion. Apparel that you can easily move and stretch, such as Yoga pants, shorts (avoid short lengths), leggings, Joggers, etc., are perfect.

What can I expect to feel after a Stretch-Mobility™ session?

Our Stretch/Mobility sessions have been described as “Yoga on a table without having to do anything.” Clients have typically reported feeling euphoric, with an increased range of motion, and other benefits that stay with you longer than a massage. Yes, that amazing!

What do I wear for a Cryotherapy session?

This one’s easy. Come as you are because we provide a fresh robe, gloves, socks, and slippers in your private dressing room. We’ve got you covered whether you’re coming from the gym or going to the office.

What can I expect to feel after a Cryotherapy session?

After a Cryotherapy treatment, clients have reported feeling a new sense of energy and mental focus to tackle the day. We always recommend staying hydrated, especially in the Texas heat.

How long is a Cryotherapy session?

The treatment is so quick and efficient you could finish before your favorite song ends.  After your first session, we will even give you a special badge of honor to wear for taking the ‘dry’ cold like a champ! You will be accompanied at ALL times by an AR Cryotherapy expert, a.k.a. your personal cheerleader.

How many Cryotherapy sessions should I do?

Cryotherapy can be enjoyed daily, except Monday, when we’re closed. For optimum results, we recommend 2-3 sessions per week. However, consult with an AR expert to see what body care regimen works best for you.

Is Cryotherapy just for athletes?

No way. Everyone can experience the benefits of cold therapy. Whether you’re getting back into a body care routine after a hiatus, climbing the corporate ladder or juggling toddlers, Cryotherapy can help you feel and live your best.

If you have any of the following conditions, please consult with the AR before scheduling a Cryotherapy appointment: Pregnancy, severe Hypertension (BP> 160/100), acute or recent myocardial infarction, unstable angina pectoris, arrhythmia, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, cardiac pacemaker, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, venous thrombosis, acute or recent cerebrovascular accident, uncontrolled seizures, Raynaud’s Syndrome, fever, tumor disease, symptomatic lung disorders, bleeding disorders, severe anemia, infection, cold allergy, age less than 18 years (parental consent to treatment needed), age less than 15 (Doctor consent for treatment required), acute kidney and urinary tract diseases.

What is the minimum age for cryotherapy?

Our Cryo Chamber is designed for an adult-sized person in which the platform can be raised so your head is completely above the top rim of the unit. It cannot hurt children, yet they may simply be too small for our cryo chamber. We recommend clients be at least 16 years old with parental/guardian consent and supervision. (But your parent or guardian can give it a try.)

Is there a weight limit?

Yes, the recommended range is 350 lbs. or less. In addition, the client must be able to stand comfortably inside the chamber so they are not touching the sides while rotating in a circular motion during treatment. Your safety and well-being are our top priority. We will assist you in accessing and measuring the cryo chamber for your safety.

What are the Athletic Room late canceling and no-show policies?

Appointments may be cancelled up to 8 hours in advance of the start time by calling 346.261.0853. A NO SHOW occurs when a client does not show up for an appointment within 10 minutes of the start time and has not called to cancel 8 hours prior to the start time. A LATE CANCEL occurs when canceling or switching services WITHIN 8 HOURS of the original appointment start time. If an appointment is not cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy, the full price of the scheduled service will be charged to the client’s account.

A front desk staff at the AR do not have access to making appointment changes within 8 hours of the appointment start time and any disputes should be emailed to membership@theathleticroom.com.

How do I modify or cancel my Membership?
